How GoalieGuru Began
GoalieGuru is an on-demand goaltender rental service that helps teams find the right goalie for their game. Whether it’s a big league game, a scrimmage, or a team practice, we’ve got you covered so you can play the game you love without needing to stress about who’s in net. Nobody likes playing with the shooter tutor.
Goalie Guru was started in 2024 by two local university students out of Vancouver, Canada. Both grew up as goaltenders and, as they got older, were known around town for being goalies. The two were always in demand to come out for games, practices, and pickup games, and found that competing ‘goalie rental’ services lacked any effort. Goalie Guru pledges to provide goaltenders of all abilities and goals the best opportunities to grow, and enjoy the game.

Goalie Guru, as an on-demand goaltender rental service, connects teams with goalies so no game, scrimmage, or practice is ever unplayable. We connect goalies from all over Metro Vancouver to our platform to play for us, to play for you.
To book a goaltender to play a game, you can go to our request-a-goalie form on our website and fill out the form to submit a request for a goaltender. The sooner you send a request out, the better chances a goalie selects your game to play. Details like the skill level, type, and location are required. We then select the best possible goaltender for your game.
When a goalie is selected for your game, you will be notified and given their contact information. You can send them extra details if needed, like how to park at the area, and where to enter the rink.
